![]() ![]() These include aerial moves, which are essential to success in high-level Rocket League play. Working on your aim is of paramount importance and the game's excellent tutorial mode should be the first place newcomers head – it runs you through the basics but also allows you to master the more advanced techniques required to come out on top. The ball's large surface area means that it could potentially shoot off in many different directions depending on where you strike it, and with how much force. Because you're driving a car which is subject to its own momentum and inertia and can't turn 180 degrees on a sixpence like a footballer would, you have to plan each approach effectively – especially as you're trying to make contact with an object that's almost constantly in motion. Getting the ball into the goal isn't as easy as it sounds, for starters. While this may sound almost insultingly basic – Rocket League also keeps team sizes small, which hints at further simplicity – there's more depth on offer here than it's possible to appreciate in the first few days of ownership. The objective is to shunt the massive ball into your opponent's goal while preventing them from doing the same the team with the most goals at the close of play wins. You drive your souped-up vehicle around a series of arenas which have a goal at either end. Rocket League is, as developer Psyonix so effectively explains, "soccer, but with rocket-powered cars", and that high-concept pitch is as tantalising as it sounds. Now it's the turn of the Switch, and rather than being the poor relation in this family, the Nintendo port could actually be the best way to experience the game yet. ![]() The game's incredible addictiveness – no doubt combined with the fact that it was totally free to PS+ subscribers for the first month of release – created a multiplayer monster which has since extended its reach to Xbox One and PC. When it launched on the PS4 as part of Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service it came with little fanfare – the title on which it is based, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, drifted under the radar of many a player during the PS3 era and developer Psyonix admitted it had trouble getting publishers interested in the sequel. Rocket League is a shining example of how a game can organically create its own success without expensive marketing campaigns or pre-launch hype. ![]()

![]() ![]() → Chopįinally, I wanted to finish the week (with Sunday as my day of rest, obvs) by using the blender's Manual setting to make an extremely hearty, fridge clean-out tomato sauce. I adventurously set out to make something with the Ninja Professional Blender for six days straight to see how its different preset functions work while also zhushing up my usual routine, which has slipped, as it usually does, into comfortable monotony. Its versatility sets it apart from other blenders on the market, like my previously tested Vitamix E310, which are great at blending but not so good at evenly chopping or pureeing large quantities. From there, just hit a button, and it’s blast off - quite literally because this blender is extremely loud. Once you’re properly strapped in, depending on which attachment you’re using, only certain Auto-iQ functions will light up. You have to twist your blending container in until it clicks into place, secure its top on, and the whole blender itself is suction-cupped to your countertop, so it’s not going anywhere. I loved the “locked and loaded” feeling of setting up this blender. These programs are titled Smoothie, Ice Crush, Extract, Chop, and Dough. But it also has five Auto-iQ programs that are specifically designed for certain blending functions and specific vessels. Best of all, every single one of its attachments is dishwasher-safe.įor its speed programs, the Ninja Professional Blender is equipped with the standard low, medium, high, and pulse functions that are compatible with all of the attachment vessels. The blender takes up a 7.5x8.5-inch footprint on your countertop, and at its tallest (with the 72-ounce pitcher attached), it has a 17.5-inch height. It also comes with a stacked blade mechanism for the 72-ounce pitcher, along with a chopping blade and a dough blade for the 64-ounce processor bowl. Its attachments include a 72-ounce pitcher, a 64-ounce processor bowl, and two 24-ounce to-go cups. The Ninja Professional Blender is a 3-in-1 system with a powerful 1,400-watt motor. ![]() It can transform from a regular blender to a juicer to a personal blender to a food processor to a stand mixer in no time. It's not a device that you'll ever feel the need to upgrade or graduate from because it gives you pretty much everything you could want. ![]() ![]() Overall, though, I was surprised at how easy it makes the whole blending process. But its intelligent design and surprisingly useful pre-programmed functions (this is where the Auto-iQ part comes in) make it user-friendly and also very fun to meal prep with.Īre there flaws? Yes, and we'll get into that. It brings the power - there’s no doubt about that. If you enjoyed this story, check out Kate Spade handbags on sale for just $69.In my hands-on test with the Ninja Professional Blender Plus Kitchen System with Auto-iQ, I’ve found that this particular multicomponent model does almost everything it advertises superbly well. This is one of those epic deals you really shouldn’t pass up, so head over to Amazon now to get your Ninja blender for 50 percent off. Three sizes of cups fit whatever you are chopping or blending. This bad boy can handle any challenge I throw it’s way.”Īnother happy customer added, “I love it. But it is when you’re using it almost daily. “I’ve been using this unit for over 3 months now. “This blender is amazing,” wrote one satisfied shopper. The blender currently has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating and more than 8,000 reviews. It should come as no surprise that Amazon shoppers love this food processor because it’s so versatile. ![]() ![]() More recently, Roslyn enabled source generators. When the C# compiler was rewritten as the "Roslyn" C# compiler, it exposed object models for the entire compilation pipeline, as well as analyzers. ![]() NET 7 introduces a new RegexGenerator source generator. The use of also inhibits the use of RegexOptions.Compiled in certain environments some operating systems don't permit dynamically generated code to be executed, and on such systems, Compiled will become a no-op. RegexOptions.Compiled represents a fundamental tradeoff between overheads on the first use and overheads on every subsequent use. The generated IL further needs to be JIT-compiled on first use leading to even more expense at startup. Not only are all of the same costs paid as for the interpreter, but it then needs to compile that resulting RegexNode tree and generated opcodes/operands into IL, which adds non-trivial expense. The most impactful is that it incurs much more construction cost than using the interpreter. There are several downsides to RegexOptions.Compiled. This special casing and the ability to perform optimizations based on knowledge of the pattern are some of the main reasons for specifying RegexOptions.Compiled yields much faster-matching throughput than does the interpreter. For example, if the pattern contained, the interpreter would see an opcode that said "match the input character at the current position against the set specified in this set description" whereas the compiled IL would contain code that effectively said, "match the input character at the current position against 'a' or 'c'". This IL would essentially do exactly what the interpreter would do, except specialized for the exact pattern being processed. When a match was performed, those DynamicMethods would be invoked. The resulting instructions would be transformed further by the reflection-emit-based compiler into IL instructions that would be written to a few DynamicMethods. When you specify RegexOptions.Compiled, all of the same construction-time work would be performed. When instantiating a new Regex instance or calling one of the static methods on Regex, the interpreter is the default engine employed. When a match is performed, the interpreter simply walks through those instructions, processing them against the input text. ![]() The tree is written into a form that can be interpreted as a series of opcodes and operands that provide instructions to the regex interpreter engine on how to match. The tree is then optimized in various ways, transforming the pattern into a functionally equivalent variation that can be more efficiently executed. The specified pattern is parsed, both to ensure the validity of the pattern and to transform it into an internal tree that represents the parsed regex. When you write new Regex("somepattern"), a few things happen. To learn when source generation is possible, see When to use it. Source generation can help your app start faster, run more quickly and be more trimmable. Notice how each of those regexes are made using regex literals – the ability to create a regular expression by starting and ending your regex with a /.Where possible, use source generated regular expressions instead of compiling regular expressions using the RegexOptions.Compiled option.

The essence of the technology lies in the fact that artificial intelligence analyzes image areas and individual pixels in them and supplements the image with new pixels. Gaijin programmers came to the rescue, creating a neural network that was taught how to scale textures based on a complex analysis of the original image, and the network was trained precisely on the textures of War Thunder vehicles. There was only one way out: redo all the textures for most of the aircraft in the game! It would take several years for our artists to complete such a task, even with the help of partner studios (one plane is at least 8 texture maps, apart from cockpit textures. The fact is that most of the War Thunder aircraft textures were created in direct relation to the dimensions of the models, which means that we do not have these files in the sizes necessary for high-quality display in high resolution. However, things are different with aircraft textures. Most of the textures of ship models, tanks and up-to-date elements of the game environment do not require any modifications to go into ultra-high resolution format - they were originally created in 4K and 8K formats, and then compressed to save disk space. For previous generation consoles, the client with high-res textures will not be available due to lack of memory in the consoles. The same option for selecting texture quality will be available to owners of new generation game consoles as free DLC (make sure you have enough space and 4K support). Players who wish to upgrade to UHD textures will be prompted to download additional game data that will be installed after the standard client. This is required for the technical features of the transition to high-resolution global rendering, as well as improved technology for creating land surfaces that also requires rebuilding most of the textures of the game environment. Unfortunately, even players who prefer to use standard or minimal clients, will have to download a rather large update once, with the release of the upcoming update. Three types of game client will be available for players after the update is released: minimal (minimal size, suitable for trial playing at 720p resolution), standard, with textures of the same resolution as you see them in War Thunder now, suitable for playing at resolutions up to 1080p and improved, which will bring textures of tanks, planes, helicopters and elements of the game environment to 4K/8K resolutions, and which is suitable for playing at Ultra-HD (1440/2160p). ![]() To move to the new graphics with high resolution textures, we need to rebuild all the textures in the game. It's time to change for the better, and we are taking this step in the next update of the game! Game clients to choose from We are introducing a new ULTRA HD texture pack that brings a higher resolution to War Thunder that meets the standards of modern games. But as time goes by, monitor resolutions, hard drive sizes and internet speeds grow, so we want to make the game look better. ![]() In addition, the game has a lot of content created with textures in 2K resolution, for example, some of the aircraft with which War Thunder began its journey back in 2012. The latest War Thunder vehicle and asset models are created in 4K, or even 8K resolutions, but textures of such sizes significantly increase the size of the game client. Today we want to talk about the global graphical improvements, 4K/8K game client, and artistic neuronet. ![]() ![]() It is a shame because it really has great potential - a beautiful lake where you can swim or fish.
